for general news about MS. for general windows news and support. I had the same issue. I think I understand that the Onenote Option triggers the Onenote 2016 system in Outlook. As far as I know that is not possible for now since Office 2016 was build with Onenote 2016 in mind.

You probably have to wait till Office 2019 at the end of the year for that to resolve. Maybe that would have better integration with Onenote Store App. On the other hand, there is build in Meetings thing that allows you to insert meetings from your account. The other thing is to print the message into Onenote Store APP.
